About the author

Juan Andrés Papagno Gazmuri

is a Chilean-Argentinian psychologist and psychotherapist living in the international township of Auroville in south India. Raised by two psychologists, he has gone through life in exploration of what makes us human; he has been expanding his understanding of the psyche initially by connecting to music in what he calls his first “non-mental experiences”, this was greatly supported by starting his meditation practices from his early 20s. He explored the human body while studying medicine, while also developing in collective and organizational work from being an advanced trainer of trainers for the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations and for the International Peer Education Network of the United Nations Population Fund. After finishing his psychology studies he has been developing a very intuitive holistic orientation in his psychotherapeutic practice from training in integrative psychotherapy to learning about integral psychology in Auroville, dedicating to his self-work and self-learning practice both from within and from the outer world. He has explored different intentional communities around the world such as Awakened Life Project, Tamera and Schweibenalp, currently feeling Auroville as his home.
